November 17, 2022, 5pm EST: Andrea Chung, Art is not a luxury. In this virtual event featuring Andrea Chung, the San Diego-based artist will introduce the audience to her creative practice and workflow. From beadwork to sugarwork to rootwork, the talk will include topics ranging from Black feminist art to Asian diaspora in the Caribbean to research-based artistic methods. As the demand for deliverables increases in the hyperproductivity of the ongoing pandemic, Chung in conversation with Tao Leigh Goffe will explore strategies for rest, sleep, play, recuperation, and healing.
