Join us THIS FRIDAY, April 15, 1 PM CST / 2 PM EST for “Digitizing the Louisiana WPA”, a workshop with Angela Proctor, Head University Archivist and Digital Librarian at Southern University at Baton Rouge.
Angela Proctor is the force behind digitizing interviews conducted by John Brother Cade with formerly enslaved people living in Louisiana in the 1920s, the extant Louisiana Works Progress Administration’s ex-slave interviews, and interviews with the descendants of the GU272, the 272 enslaved people sold to support Georgetown University.
